Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Ilmu Ushuluddin dan Humaniora undergo an initial screening by the editorial board to ensure relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with ethical and formatting standards.
Eligible manuscripts are then sent to two independent reviewers under a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, scholarly contribution, clarity of argumentation, methodological soundness, and adequacy of references. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide that the manuscript is:
- Accepted without revision,
- Accepted with minor or major revisions, or
- Rejected for publication.
The final decision of acceptance or rejection lies with the editorial board, taking into account the reviewers’ feedback. The review process typically takes four to eight weeks, depending on the complexity of the submission.
