Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Ilmu Ushuluddin dan Humaniora upholds high standards of academic integrity and strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before entering the peer-review process.

The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%, provided that no significant portions (e.g., research findings, analysis, or conclusions) are improperly taken from other works.

Forms of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:

  • Copying text from other sources without proper citation,
  • Paraphrasing ideas or sentences without acknowledgment of the original source,
  • Using data, tables, or figures without permission or attribution,
  • Submitting previously published work (self-plagiarism).

If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected immediately or returned to the author for revision. In cases where plagiarism is identified after publication, the article may be retracted, and the author may be subject to sanctions determined by the editorial board.
